Hello, I'm Murat, a North London-based cinematographer and Director of Photography. Originally from Istanbul, I started my career in 2006 as a camera assistant in the commercial industry, where I worked on more than 17 feature films. In 2018, I transitioned to the role of a Cinematographer and Director of Photography, taking on the responsibility of capturing visuals that convey the director's creative vision.
 

With my extensive experience in the industry, I have developed my own unique cinematic style, characterized by a dark and captivating aesthetic. I specialize in using medium and large format cameras such as the Arri Alexa Mini LF, Red Dragon 6K, and Sony Venice, as well as traditional 35mm-16mm film cameras. I even have my own Arri Alexa Mini LF and Red Dragon 6K cameras, as well as a Movi Pro gimbal, which I am highly experienced at operating.
 

From high-budget commercials to run-and-gun documentaries, I am comfortable on any set and always strive to push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of cinematography. My passion for storytelling and my technical knowledge of lighting and digital cinema have earned me credits on a wide range of projects, including commercials, music videos, and feature films.
 

As a Director of Photography, I am committed to bringing the director's vision to life through visual storytelling. I'm proud of my journey so far and eagerly look forward to continuing to create impactful visuals that captivate audiences and elevate the overall storytelling experience.
